How scheduling and taking notes can save you from yourself

It’s 11:19 PM when I’m starting to write these words. I’m just finishing my work for today. It’s been a tough day, as you can see. I started writing another article, this time about how to start as Ethereum Dev. After the first paragraph, I decided to stop and take a step back for a minute.

I don’t want to rush with that article. I think it can help many people wanting to break into Ethereum Development. Having some starting point and reference of what they could need and where to start is an important subject.

If I had started writing an article in the morning as I should, or have at least a plan for next few days what to write about, I wouldn’t be in this position.

That’s why it’s essential to have some planning system in place. It can only save you from yourself. I would do a lot to have such a system in place. I had one, but due to my procrastination on the matter and having a lot of work etc. (that’s always a good excuse), I don’t have one for 2-3 weeks now.

And I can see the lack of it affecting me. Previously if I had days like this one, I could just look into my notes, where I had a rough version of the article already planned out. I just needed to write it without much thinking and polish it.

It was something beautiful. I didn’t always stick to that, and I like to improvise. But lately, improvisation isn’t my strongest suit.

That’s why I encourage you to try to plan some things. It doesn’t have to be a detailed plan; a rough version is enough to help you go through your duties and exercises when everything else falls apart.

This article is a reminder this 100 days series is an insight into my journey and I’m just documenting my up (blockchain related articles) and downs (articles like this one).

Tomorrow I’m back with normal article, hoping people that are starting in Blockchain, can benefit from it.
